When fandoms collide! Wizard Entertainment released a couple photosof Lucianaat the Big Apple panel, and one picture which shows another sci-fi celebrity at her table — Daniel Logan, Young Boba Fett from Star Wars: Episode II! Cool.
Oh, and how about even more great photos from the con?
Enjoy!
Speaking of pictures from Big Apple Comic-Con: Luigi Novi — who attended the event, too — added his photo of Luciana to her Wikipedia biography. Good deed! It really was about time. (Which reminds me, it’s been a very long while since I last updated the career/filmography sections… *cough*)
Jimmy of Comic News Insider did an interview with Luciana at the Big Apple Comic Con. He got the chance to talk to her Battlestar Galactica co-stars Aaron Douglas and Michael Hogan as well.
You can download the interview from their website. The interview with Luciana begins about one hour and one minute into the file and lasts for about five minutes.
Aaron Douglas’ segment begins 32 minutes into the podcast and Micheal Hogan’s at about 49 minutes.
There is not really any new information in this interview, but it’s very nice to hear Lucci talk. How she found out about Kat’s death is the main topic, and she also chats about about Caprica.
Did you know that Vcon 30 — held October 2005 in Vancouver — was Luciana’s first convention? You can view a couple nice pictures from that event here at the Fansite. Vcon is also the only con she ever did in her home country. But that’s about to change.
For, Luciana is now also scheduled to appear at one of next year’s many genre/media conventions held in Toronto, the city where she was born:
As you know, Luciana has quite curly hair most of the time, but at recent appearances they were much less curly – and at the Big Apple Comic-Con last weekend, she had completely straight hair!
So is this a blog post about her hairstyle? Not really. It’s about pictures of Luciana from the convention.
Our friend Cassie found the following two lovely pictures of Luciana, which were taken on October 16:
Additionally, you can find a very nice photo on Jimmy’s Juke Joint’s blog. As usual, several photos have appeared on flickr. This one in acetonic’s photostream shows Luciana at her booth, plus there are a few more cute photos of her in Andrew St. Clair’s photostream and rwillia532 also has some here.
If you attended the Big Apple con and have photos or stories of Luciana you want to share, you can comment this post or send a message to Frosty.

So I’m happy to report that the people who brought us those three conventions (Wizard Entertainment) invited Luciana to their first 2010 event, too:
Anaheim Comic-Con
April 16-18, 2010
Anaheim Convention Center
Anaheim, California
Mark your calendars! And I guess it’s just a matter of time before Luciana is on the guest list for Wizard Entertainment’s first convention close to her home – next year’s Toronto Comic-Con. We’ll keep you posted.
It’s been more than a month since Luciana’s last convention, and I was beginning to miss all the great new material that’s usually published on Flickr, LiveJournal, YouTube and elsewhere.
Fortunately, Luciana appears at Big Apple Comic-Con this weekend – a very large convention that’s held in New York City, one of the few places Luciana says she “belongs in”. The impressive guest list includes fellow Caprica actress Alessandra Torresani (Zoe Graystone), as well as Luciana’s former Battlestar Galactica colleagues, Aaron Douglas (Galen Tyrol), Michael Hogan (Saul Tigh) and Rekha Sharma (Tory Foster).
To all attendees: We would love to see your pictures and videos of Luciana, and read your stories of how you met her at Big Apple. So if there’s anything that you’d like to share, please comment on this post, or contact Pedda.
Luciana is now also scheduled to appear at this convention:
Steel City Con
(a.k.a. The Pittsburgh Toy, Comic and Childhood Collectible Show)
December 4-6, 2009
Monroeville Convention Center
Monoroeville, Pennsylvania (24 miles off Pittsburgh)
United States
Very much unlike San Diego Comic-Con, Dragon*Con or even Big Apple Comic-Con, this event seems to be quite small.
By the way: Lucky Pennsylvanians! Just four months ago, Luciana attended Wizard World Philadelphia, where she was joined by fellow Battlestar veterans Nicki Clyne, Michael Hogan and Edward James Olmos. You can find pictures, reports and videos from that convention here at our blog.
How about some older convention pictures, for a change?
Two people sent in lovely photos from Chicago Comic-Con. This first one was taken by Grant Gould, founder of Battlestar Blog. And the other picture was sent in by Sean Corey Adams – he’s involved with Froggy’s Photos, the guys that run the photo ops at many of Luciana’s conventions this year.
Speaking of Sean Corey Adams and Luciana: He also met her at Motor City Comic Con in Novi (Detroit area). At the party, Luciana sat down with artist Bill Brian and got a drawing lesson. So cool! And does it get any cuter than Luciana drawing Mickey Mouse?

Hikaruchan is such a blessing for those of us who weren’t able to attend Dragon*Con! A few days ago, she posted the entire Friday Q&A, and now she’s done the same with the Sunday’s Battlestar panel.
This panel consisted of Luciana, Michael Hogan, Richard Hatch, Alessandro Juliani, Kandyse McClure, Mary McDonnell and Kate Vernon.
Part 1:
You should also watch the remaining five parts of the panel. Luciana tells the classic “Crying at LAX” story in part 2, and in the last part she and Mary talk about the shoes Luciana gets to wear on Caprica.
